Game Development • XR / AR / VR • Hardware Prototyping

Hi, I’m Martin “Marty” Rasmussen.

I’m a hands-on developer who enjoys building interactive systems and prototypes, driven by curiosity and a passion for turning ideas into working software.

I’m a recent graduate in Game Development and Learning Technology from the University of Southern Denmark, with experience in game development, AR/VR, and hardware prototyping.

What I do

I enjoy building interactive experiences across game development, XR, and hardware-based systems. What interests me most is taking an idea from concept or sketch to something tangible, testable, and usable — whether that is a game system, an AR application, or a physical prototype.

🎮 Game Development

Designing and building interactive experiences focused on mechanics, systems, player engagement, and gameplay feel — mainly in Unity and C#.

🥽 AR / VR Applications

Building AR and VR applications for learning, visualization, experimentation, and immersive interaction, primarily with Unity and AR Foundation.

🔧 Hardware & Prototyping

Creating Arduino-based systems, controllers, and physical prototypes that connect software with sensors, motors, LEDs, and real-world interaction.

🎨 3D & Fabrication

Practical 3D modeling and 3D printing for prototypes, mechanical parts, and interactive projects — mainly in Fusion 360, with Blender when needed.

Featured projects

A few selected projects that reflect my work across game development, AR/VR, and interactive hardware systems.

AR Density Learning App (Bachelor Project)

A mobile AR learning application that visualizes mass, volume, and density by placing scaled 3D materials into the real world using Unity and AR Foundation.

  • Role: Solo (Bachelor project)
  • Tech: Unity, C#, AR Foundation, Mobile AR

📌 What I’m exploring

  • Game mechanics, systems, and interactive design in Unity
  • Practical AR/VR applications for learning, visualization, and tools
  • Turning prototypes into more complete and well-documented projects
  • Connecting software with hardware, sensors, and custom controllers

✅ What I care about

  • Interactive systems that are practical, testable, and enjoyable to use
  • Projects that can be shown, explained, and improved through iteration
  • Understanding how different parts of a system work together
  • Learning new tools and workflows when a project requires it
